Mixed Media art

For now I (Emily Silver) am the one and only teacher at Silver Studios. 

This class is for young artists ages 10-14

 This mixed media class gives young artists a chance to explore the creative possibilities in the world around them. We practice using non-traditional, found, and recycled materials to create both 2d and 3d works of art.

Quilts and Fiber arts

This class will take place from the comfort of your own home while in a zoom class with me from my home studio. 

This class will be on Wednesdays at 5pm est

Mixed Media art is easily one of the most accessible practices. This course will show students how the options of what we can create with are limitless. Creating and/or finding new purposes with everyday objects will push young artists creativity to see beyond the bound of "Traditional " art making. Pulling together both traditional and non traditional practices and materials our young artists will build on their critical and imaginative thinking. 

This class will use a wide range of materials that are hard to predict before meeting with young artists. Some supplies that are required to have on hard are scissors, adhesives such as glues or tapes, drawing/mark making tools, drawing paper. 

Some of the nontraditional supplies we may use include fabrics and fibers, buttons, bottle caps, or other objects/materials.

This course will cost $250 for 10 classes.
