I have been assisting teaching or teaching art in some capacity since I was 15 years old. With every new experience I gained a wide range of knowledge and experiences to guide me in creating the art classroom that I have today. One that will continue to grow and adapt to the ever evolving needs of my students. I create a classroom that is not afraid of failure, that embraces unique thinking, and fosters a positive sense of self. All the while, students are also learning some pretty great art skills.
I earned my BFA in k-12 Art Education and SIM from Massart in 2014, and my masters in Art Education from Adelphi in 2025. I have worked in many settings including museums, galleries/studios, schools, individuals homes, and most of all, an amazing summer camp in Maine. Since 2012 I have been working as a member of their art team, first as the studio arts instructor before taking charge of the whole art program in 2020. This partnered with my position as a middle school art teacher fills my years with wonderful creative experiences.

As an artist I span a wide range of mediums styles within my work. Combining 2d and 3d elements I love to take over a space no matter how big or small. My installations push people to reflect on their own experiences and find either comfort or discomfort in the environments I create. All of my work creates an opportunity to feel a connection to a wide range of communities of which I myself am I part of. My work shows you the power that our environments have on who we are and the comfort or discomfort we feel in these spaces, ourselves, and the connection between the two.
When I am able to find the time I enjoy turning the living room of my little queens apartment into an inspirational studio space. Currently I am working through the boxes of recyclable items I have been saving for years with the goals of creating an environmental centered series. I have yet to find one medium that has captured my whole heart and I truly enjoy working through the wide range of materials I am lucky to have available to me.

But if I have taught you or your child and you would like to share a positive experience or images of artwork created please reach out !
