INTRODUCTION TO DRAWING

For now I (Emily Silver) am the one and only teacher at Silver Studios. 

This class is for young artists ages 8-10

 In this beginners drawing class students are learning the basics. This includes learning about the different drawing tools artists use, how we use lines and shapes to create more complex images, the basics of shading, and an introduction into color. 

Some of the projects that we may complete are:

Observational drawings

Portraits 

Landscapes

Story telling illustrations and comics

Shapes and patterns to People

This class will take place from the comfort of your own home while in a zoom class with me from my home studio. 

This class will be on Thursdays @ 5pm est .

A strong foundation of drawing skills will prepare these young artists for the greater artistic challenges to come. A basic introduction to drawing includes learning how to observe our surroundings closely, create a deeper sense of spatial reasoning, and be able to translate what we are seeing into simpler images and expressions. Not to mention- drawing is the most pure and accessible form of creativity and expression. Providing young artists with these skills will build their confidence not only in the arts but in their sense of expression at large 

The only supplies that you/your young artist will need for this course is paper, drawing materials. Coloring tools are a great option to also have, but not necessary. 

This course will cost $250 total for 10 courses.
